Ann Liz Abi is a speech-language pathologist, clinical supervisor, and the founder of LIS – Liberty In Speech, a speech-language pathology clinic in Kerala. She has worked with children and adults across a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders, with particular interests in paediatric feeding and swallowing, adult neurorehabilitation, motor speech disorders, voice disorders, and language disorders. Alongside her clinical practice, Ann mentors undergraduate speech-language pathology students as a clinical supervisor, a role she finds as rewarding as her work with clients. Passionate about making science accessible, Ann enjoys translating complex clinical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand insights for families and professionals alike. Through her writing, she hopes to empower parents, students, clinicians, and anyone curious about communication with greater clarity, confidence, and a deeper appreciation of the many ways people connect beyond words.
